"Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves ... Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ. From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Eph. 4:13-16 (NIV)

Christ-centered relationships hold the key to our "growing up" into Christian maturity. We cannot get there on our own. Without meaningful connections with other believers, we quickly gravitate toward living for today instead of striving for the eternal. Such relationships provide the love, support, and encouragement we need to become all that God has planned for us to be.
Here at HCBCSW our small groups are set up to be the primary way that people are cared for, encouraged, supported, and loved. Each small group has a shepherd, a leader whose number one priority is the spiritual care, health, and growth of the people in their group.
Groups meet all over the southwest Austin area. Check out the online database to find a small group that meets close to you.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: "What is a Small Group?"
A: A Small Group is a community of people who meet together for the purposes of sharing life, serving each other, reaching others, and encouraging one another to be all God's designed for them to be!
Q: "How often do the groups meet?"
A: Typically once per week, although some groups organize additional optional social events or service projects.
Q: "When do they meet?"
A: Groups meet at different times. However, the most popular nights are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
Q: "I have children that need care. What do groups do for child care?"
A: That depends solely on the group. Some groups provide 'on-site' care with special age-appropriate activities for the kids. Others provide care that is simply 'babysitting'. In some groups, individual families take responsibility for their own children's care.
Q: "How should I go about finding a group?"
| A: There are several easy ways to find a Small Group close to your home. You could use the "Find a group" Locator tool at the top of this page and find several groups right there in your neighborhood.
